Road trip – 1st Stop – Mt Rushmore √… off the bucket list?
And there’s way more to it than that… impressive, jaw-dropping, soul stirring and for me, a bit tearful.
This massive structure speaks to the heart – the heart of the visionary, the maverick, and the innovator. It challenges the power within each of us to step up and dream bigger and act accordingly!
Why these 4 presidents? (I didn’t know:-)
George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt were chosen to symbolize the spirit of a nation because of their unwavering commitment to freedom and equality!
To me, this monument represents the essence of entrepreneurism. It stands for, freedom and equality. Isn’t that what being an entrepreneur is all about — freedom to create your own possibilities and change your world? The magnitude of vision, inspiration and commitment it took to create this gigantic sculpture — in spite of those who said it couldn’t and even shouldn’t be done, is pure “ maverick thinking”! To experience the enormity of one man’s vision made real invited an unexpected challenge. Why on earth would you settle for playing small? “Go big or go home!”, says the mountain. Knowing that most of us want to and few of us play anywhere near as big as our capabilities, I extend this dare to you.
